    Why do you need,
    Accent marks baby?
    Well I’ll tell you why,
    Rules,
    1, 2, and 3,
    Please help me,
    To learn,
    The rules…
I need you (I need you,)
    To help me get,
    An A……
    So please help me,
    To…..
    Learn the rules

Rule #1 is if a word ends in a vowel,
    S or N.
You look at the 2nd last syllable and the stress is there.
    Amen!
    (hey hey hey)
    In the word toman,
    (hey hey hey)
The second to last syllable is where the stress is on…
    Here comes rule #2,
    (two-oo, two-ooo)

    Why do you need,
    Accent marks baby?
    Well I’ll tell you why,
    Rules,

I need you (I need you,)

    An A……

    Learn the rules

Rule #2 is if a word ends in a constanant,
    Not N or S,
Are stressed on the last syllable with no accent marks.
    That’s how to do it.

    Rule 3, Rule 3, Rule 3,
    (hey hey hey)
is if a word breaks rules 1 and 2
the stress must be indicated with an
    accent mark (yeah)

    ¡Acentos!
You would not believe your eyes
    If ten million accent marks
Lit up my mind as I fell asleep
Cause they’d fill the open words
    And pronounce words right everywhere
You’d think I’m wrong but I would just stand and – say

If a word ends in a vowel
Or n or s the stress
Goes on the second to last syllable
Cause accent marks are never as they seem

Cause I’d get a thousand hugs
    From ten thousand accent marks
As they tried to teach me how to speak
    An accent above my head
A word change beneath my bed
The Spanish word is just hanging by a thread

If a word ends in consonants
But n or s the stress
Goes on the very final syllable
Cause accent marks are never as they seem

Leave my word open for a mark
(Please take me to Spanish class)
I stopped and think how to say it right
(Please take me to Spanish class)
What should I do to pass this test?
(Please take me to Spanish class)
When I’m far too tired to study hard

    To ten million accent marks
I’m sure that I’ve got it now
    I got rule # 1 and # 2
I’ll know where to put them
If my words get real bizarre
I’d think and write and remember this

If a word breaks a rule
    It gets a written mark
I know how to spell in Spanish class now
Cause Spanish words are never as they seem
    When I ace the test

I’d like to make myself believe
    That accent marks are easy
Cause accent mark rules are very simple now
Because I’d say it’s really not too hard

Wake up in the morning and I’m ready to study.
Grab my glasses, I’m out to Spanish, I’m gonna get an A.
Before I leave, read and learn all the accent marks,
‘Cause when I leave for the day, I’m gonna ace my test.

I’m talking rule number one ain’t hard, hard.
If it ends in a vowel, n or s,
Second to last syllable gets stress, stress.

    Book-dropping
    Studying all the marks, marks,
Pulling up to the school yard,
    Trying not to fail.

    Don’t stop, read and learn
    Teacher, give me an A
Tonight Ima study till we see the sunlight.
Tik tok on the clock, but the studying won’t stop no.
    Ohh- ohh- ah-ohh
    Ohh- ohh- ah-ohh x2

    Here’s rule number two,
    Try to follow along.
If it ends in a consonant
    Except for n or s,
The last syllable gets the stress ‘cause that’s just how it goes.
But we kick ‘em to the curb
    Unless they roll like Señora.

    I’m talking everybody getting A’s, A’s.
No longer will we be in a daze, daze,
It’s like we’ve gotten right out of a maze, maze.

    Nah, nah
We go until they boost our grades, grades
Or the marks get erased from the page, page
    Marks erased from page, page
    Marks erased from page.

    Don’t stop, read and learn
    Teacher, give me an A
Tonight Ima study till we see the sunlight.
Tik tok on the clock, but the studying won’t stop no.
    Ohh- ohh- ah-ohh
    Ohh- ohh- ah-ohh x2

    If a word breaks
    Either, of the rules
Than it gets an, accent mark
    On the stress
    That’s rule number three
Make sure it’s on the strongest part

    If a word breaks
    Either, of the rules
Than it gets an, accent mark
    On the stress
    That’s rule number three
    It’s rule number three!

Now the marks aren’t learned till we walk in.

    Don’t stop, read and learn
    Teacher, give me an A
Tonight Ima study till we see the sunlight.
Tik tok on the clock, but the studying won’t stop no.
    Ohh- ohh- ah-ohh
    Ohh- ohh- ah-ohh x2

  4. Dimitri Jonny George Lose Yourself
His palms are sweaty, knees weak, he's not ready
He feels so bad because he refused to study
He's nervous, but on the surface he looks calm and ready to remember, what he learned in september.
Still nervous, the whole class laughs so loud
He opens his mouth, but the words won't come out
He's choking now, everybody's choking now
The class runs out, pens down, its over now!
Snap back to the past, remember that class when we learned how to properly
Place the n or s with the rules of the stresses and accents that go with the reglas de accentos, we
    (Pause till chorus)
You better listen up kid there are three tricks of the trade
that will get you really far in spanish class,
You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to blow, this opportunity comes once in a lifetime.(x2)
If a word ends in a vowel, n or s, it belongs on the second to last syllable
We still got to go over rule two in order
If a word ends in a consonant (except n or s)
Then the stress rests on th last syllable
As like in nariz, but that's only the piece
of the puzzle to the test that's not making your best
Hey, yo, guess what there's only one rule left.
If a word breaks down numbers 1 and 2
It gets a written accent mark hey look there's your clue
But before we say too-da-loo there's one thing you really got to do
is remember all this for the rest of your life. because if you don't it will give you strife.
So get going, get to it, roll the dice. Or else your grade is gonna look as thin as ice.
    (Chorus)(x2)

    Chorus:
Beautiful words all over the page
I could be guessin but my time would be wastin
    unless you know those rules
    know those rules

    Here's the 1st rule
when a word ends in a
    vowel, n or s
    the stress goes on
    the second to last syllable
    second to last syllable

    Chorus

    Here's the 2nd rule
when a word ends in a
    consanant besides n or s
the stress goes on the syllable
    last syllable

    Chorus

    Here's the last rule
if a word breaks a rule
    it gets accent mark
    where the stress is
    where the stress is

Seven nation army- Seven Nation Accent Marks
    I'm failing my tests :15
need to improve or I'll get an F
    Those accent marks
tripping me up so I fail my test

And I'm talking to myself at night
    because I can't forget
There are rules on accent marks
    and their tricky ways

And a message coming from my eyes
    says get them down

    (Music solo)

Start with rule one : 48
the stress goes on the second to last syllable
    When the last letter is
    a vowel or n or sneaky s

And if the word ends in a consonant
    thats very good for you
Cause the stress is on the last syllable
    thats rule number two

And a pain coming from my brain
    says get them down!

    (music solo)

If both rules are broken 2:50
then the special word gets an accent mark
    then the whole test
Is ended very happily without a flaw

And passin, and passin, and passin
right in front of my ma
All the rules are gonna come from me
and I will think no more

And the sweat coming from my brow
    says get them down
